This Marina Village Wedding was beautiful to look at, but it was made incredibly special by the people who were involved. Erika and Makoa are just some of the sweetest people Zack and I have ever met. I am sure that has a lot to do with their upbringing! We have known Makoa’s mother, Julianne and her parents Jerry and Terry, since the time we were in college! Without hesitation, we can say that they are TRULY lovely human beings. They have passed on those traits to Makoa and he in turn chose a woman who also exemplified these traits. So, with all that being said, this was an amazing wedding day! Wonderful human beings attract other wonderful human beings and the day was completely filled with love.
Special Aspects of this Marina Village Wedding
Another reason this day was so lovely was because of the individuals who volunteered their time and talent. This couple and their families are deeply loved. Friends helped with the planning, the set up, and the execution. Their DJ, minister, coordinator, florist, and entertainment were provided by people who were grateful to serve them. How could this not be a spectacular day!
Although the people at this wedding were amazing, my favorite part of the day was at the end of the ceremony. After their first kiss, Makoa picked up his beautiful bride and carried her down the aisle! I have never seen this done before! So intimate and special! Of course the guests loved every minute of it. This was really nothing any of us should have been surprised by. I got to witness Makoa’s complete devotion to Erika the moment I met him at their engagment session. Capturing all of their sweet snuggles and intimate giggles was so much fun! Their wedding day was a continuation of joy and gratitude and we are so honored to have been a part of it!
