This beautiful wedding brought the tropics to the Hilton San Diego Bayfront! The venue was decorated with palm fronds and orchids, reflecting the Dani and Ryan’s Chamorro heritage. The best part of the day though were the PEOPLE! This couple was blessed with a large, boisterously fun family and group of friends. It was so clear how much they love Dani and Ryan and how thrilled they were to see them married.
During their first look, the love between this couple was beyond apparent. Secluded from their guests and their families in an outside alcove of the Hilton San Diego Bayfront, Dani and Ryan exchanged personal vows. As they each shared, they cried, and as they cried, their beloved wiped the tears from their eyes for them. So touching! There were plenty of smiles and laughter as well. Such a loving, kind couple. We are so grateful we got to spend this day with them and to also take their engagement photos! What a blessing!
This venue is a spectacular place to get married! The option to get married on the lawn near the bay is really sets this venue apart. Dani and Ryan chose to have their ceremony set up in a circle. What a great choice! This worked perfectly with the way the lawn is laid out and allowed for all of the guests to see the couple. Guests were also treated to views of beautiful downtown San Diego and the boardwalk only feet away.
Another feature of this venue is the proximity of the reception area to the ceremony cite. While the bride and groom can be whisked off to take pictures by the waterfront, or the Harbor Drive Pedestrian Bridge, guests can enjoy cocktail hour with beautiful views. Next, they can walk directly into the reception hall, which is a very lovely space.
Dani’s mother was emotional and it was so touching!
Such a spectacular view from where the groomsmen were getting ready.
This was the first mother-son first look! So touching!
The groom’s grandmother was an expert at making him laugh.
The bride and groom’s first look was in a spectacular location, completely hidden from guests and strangers. Zack found a great place to get new angles!
The bride and groom chose to read their personal vows to each other in private. This was an emotional time and very beautiful.
After brides and grooms have their first looks, we always gets some portraits just in case there isn’t any time later in the day.
The groom chose to have a brideswoman! So cool!
This circular set up was such a great idea!
Table settings were marked with sea glass name markers.
The ceremony at this venue is amazingly close to the San Diego Bay. Beautiful views for guests.
Dani and Ryan were so emotional all day. There love for each other was so obvious to everyone present.
After Ryan danced with his mother, he had his brother dance with her because she had nnot been able to be with him at his wedding.
Ryan was such a reserved groom…until it was time to get the garter! He was unhinged! Haha! Look at the flower girl below! She couldn’t watch!
