Any chance to hang out with the Wilson family is a blessing! This crew is just so much fun! Last year I was honored when they called and asked for a photo session and this year was just as special. Tim and Bonnie are seriously one of the nicest couples you could possibly meet. Even though Tim has a rather serious health concern, he is joyful, giving, and full of encouragement. He just takes away everyone’s excuses and amazes me! I really love taking pictures of the two of them together and how it is just so obvious how much they love each other, even after all of these years of marriage. As you scroll through the images below you will see what I mean!
Another thing that makes Wilson Family sessions so wonderful are the dogs they bring! However, this is bitter-sweet for them. They brought their labrador last year along with the cute sheltie seen in these images. Unfortunately, they lost her not long after our session together. I am so glad they will have those family photos to last forever of their beloved pet. We need to make sure we always immortalize our fur-babies in images because they really are part of our family (I have a whole blog about this if you’re interested! Just click here). Even though their hearts were broken, they opened their arms to Mr. Darcy this year, a King Charles spaniel. Oh, my goodness he is CUTE!!! Both dogs were just so adorable, well-behaved, and picture-perfect.
These kids are officially grown-ups, but they’ll always be kids to me since I’ve seen them growing through the years. They’ve come through some amazing challenges and are really quite spectacular young adults. I was so encouraged when Bonnie told me they look forward to our sessions just as much as I do! How wonderful when your client/friend tells you, “your photo sessions are guaranteed to make a great family time! We have fun and laugh during the session, totally trusting that you will bring out the best in our large family of humans and pets. The family is at a point where we look forward to the sessions. Come Fall, the kids will ask, ‘have you scheduled our time with Nicole yet?'” Wow, that just warms my heart! I’m already looking forward to next year!
