La Jolla Cliffs Engagement | Miguel & Karla

Karla and Miguel were extremely excited and prepared for their La Jolla Cliffs engagement session! They obviously read through the Style Guide I sent them and dressed perfectly! Not only that but they brought some champagne to pop and a second outfit which was perfect for the beach. After the short amount of time I have known Karla, this was NO surprise. I believe she is the most “on top of it” bride we have ever had! If I email her, she responds almost immediately. When I sent her their preliminary timeline, she actually improved it and added tons of details! She is AMAZING!

This is just the beginning of the MANY wonderful things about Miguel and Karla. They are truly lovely. So kind and sweet and incredibly easy to talk to. Although getting to shoot at such a beautiful location was a joy, I was especially thrilled to work with a groom who was so excited! By the end of our session, men are surprised by how much fun they have with us, but Miguel was having fun from the very first photo!

I am sure Miguel’s enthusiasm was due in large part to the beautiful woman he had by his side. It was so obvious how much he treasures his lovely bride and appreciates her. His actions spoke loudly about how he feels about her, but his words said even more. When asked what he loves most about her he replied, “I love Karla’s passion for what she does. She doesn’t do things half-assed she is always 100% in, meaning she is my biggest cheerleader. I also love how much she makes me laugh, and how easy life is when I am with her.”

Karla’s feelings for Miguel were just as visible. I didn’t even have work hard to encourage genuine, authentic smiles and giggles. She was thoroughly head-over-heels in love with her man. “I love Miguels kindness,” she said, “and how he extend that kindness to everyone he meets. I really love his dad jokes and how he tries to be well prepared. Even if that means trying something out of his comfort zone. I appreciate how patient he is and how level-headed he is.”

Although we had an amazing time at their La Jolla Cliffs engagement session, we are especially excited for their wedding this August! The ceremony will be at a lovely Little Italy church and the reception at Coasterra, in downtown San Diego. These two are so excited to celebrate and dance with their best friends and their family and we can’t wait to be by their sides the entire time!
