Austin & Caroline – Sweetwater River Bridge Engagement

Adorable.  That word really sums up these two Point Loma Nazarene students!  Zack and I had never met Caroline and Austin before this session but I had had a Zoom call with Caroline and just loved her instantly.  She reminds me so much of her mother whom I knew in college, and she also was adorable!  Kind, sweet, gentle, joyful, quick to laugh, and full of life.  That is how I would describe them after our time together at their engagement session at the Sweetwater River Bridge.  They were so easy to talk to, so encouraging to spend time with, and we couldn’t help but be beyond thrilled that we are going to get to spend even more time with them on December 30 at their wedding!

Austin and Caroline met in college as freshmen and even though Caroline was a little shy and didn’t show much interest in him at first, Austin persevered.  Thank goodness her friends convinced him to keep pursuing her and then to share his feelings with her. Well, he hit the jackpot by being patient and bold!  Caroline is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.  She has a lovely spirit and so does Austin and it was just so fun photographing both of them because they just radiated with joy and happiness.  I didn’t need to say much or prompt them almost at all because the smiles and the giggles came so naturally.  Their San Diego December wedding is going to be so much fun!

Zack and I are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary as I am writing this post and it’s not hard for us to imagine these two celebrating their 25th in the future, still snuggling up to one another and thoroughly enjoying each other’s company.  Friends have told them that they seem like an old married couple already because one of their favorite things to do together is go on walks and find benches to sit on and just talk.  That is so funny to think about because Zack and I just returned from a walk!  They’re off to a great start!  I love that Austin loves to talk and to listen to this beautiful young lady. He’s going to make an amazing husband.  They are so young but so in love, and ready to conquer the world.  We have no doubt that their marriage will be one filled with joy, love, devotion, sacrifice for one another and the Spirit.  Congratulations to both of you!
