Ashlyn & Austin – South Park Engagement

How fitting to have Ashlyn and Austin’s engagement session at the same dog park in South Park, San Diego, where they had their very first date! It was also a perfect location for them because life just isn’t complete without their dogs Mr. Darcy and Roxy. The four of them are such a perfect blended family already and they fit right in with the fun, quirky, adorable vibe of South Park.

After meeting on a Christian dating site, Ashlyn and Austin have created a wonderful life together, culminting a few months ago with Austin’s proposal in San Francisco. And what a wonderful proposal it was! On Ashlyn’s birthday he surprised her with this birthday trip. On entering the plane she was shocked to find their parents on board as well! However, she still wasn’t sure this trip would end in a proposal until he proposed at the top of the De Young Museum in Golden Gate Park! Now, that is impressive! Way to go Austin!

Spending a couple of hours with them in South Park was so fun! It was so reflective of their relationship since they love being outside with their dogs, walking around this adorable town as well as other fantastic places in San Diego like Balboa Park, and hanging at their favorite brewery, Fall Brewery. They also love going to the beach (Austin’s a surfer), spending time with friends, family, and church, cooking and eating good food. San Diegans through and through!

It is so obvious how much they adore each other in these images and in the way they interacted throughout their session with me and Angelica. Austin noted that he loves, “Ashlyn’s femininity, how kind, and sweet, and gentle she is. She’s so loving and patient and God is her priority. I need that in my life!”

Ashlyn, being an elementary school teacher was not at a loss for words when it came to how much she loves her man. She said, “I love Austin’s passion about life, family, and his relationship with God. He’s reserved a lot of the time, but when he’s excited about someone or something he really comes alive and you know and feel how deep his emotions are in those moments. He makes me feel loved, safe, precious, and funny…that means a lot to me!”

We are certain the wedding will be filled with love and joy and amazing family and friends. Loving people attract other loving people! We are so happy for the two of you and we are so thrilled to be a part of your big day! Congratulations and we wish you all the love and happiness in the world!
