Williams Wedding – Cuyamaca College

This was such a fun day!  Katie and Nick had waited a LONG time for this day to come and the joy that it had finally arrived was so evident!  After being together since high school, these two have seen a lot happen in their relationship!  Nick went away to school on the other side of the country and yet they made it work.  In fact, he’s still going to school, getting his Ph.D in Chemistry!  Luckily they don’t have to be separated this time.

Their day together started with their first look and it was so sweet!  Katie barely made it through.  I had been with her all morning and she was so excited to see Nick.  When she called his name and he turned around, the emotion was so evident and touching.

Katie’s dad was so emotional and thoughtful.  After he walked her down the aisle, he had a hard time giving her up!  The officiant had to remind him to sit down.  So adorable!  You could see the tears of joy from everyone…the bridesmaids, Nick’s mom, and even Nick!  He told me before the wedding that he wasn’t emotional and wouldn’t cry when he saw her…and yet his eyes were glistening as she walked down the aisle to him…even after seeing her during their first look!  I don’t blame him, she was gorgeous!

One of my favorite parts of their wedding day was during the toasts when their two best friends shared about them individually and as a couple.  The Best Man and the Maid of Honor shared about how they amazing their friends were, but how they were even more amazing as a couple.  How they just weren’t complete without each other.  The best man shared about how Nick talked about Katie and then when he met her he understood what all the hype was about.  She was perfect for him.

The flower girls stole the show though.  Dancing around in their pink tulle dresses just melted hearts.  I don’t know if anything is cuter than a flower girl on the dance floor, completely confident and completed uninhibited!

After experiencing a day filled with love and laughter it was very touching to know that they begin this new part of their lives together surrounded by so many people who love them.
