WestWynd Ranch Wedding | Allan & Audra

This was our second WestWynd Ranch Wedding in two weeks! We felt so blessed because this venue is phenomenal, and the couple, Allan and Audra are dear to our hearts. However, this was not all that was so wonderful about this day! Allan and Audra are truly wonderful human beings and they surrounded themselves with other wonderful human beings on their special day! Their bridal party and their families were so kind and generous, quick to laugh and to show their love throughout the day. I think Zack, Angelica, and I spent the whole day with smiles on our faces because we genuinely enjoyed our time in their company!

Allan is a pilot for American Airlines, so he and Audra chose a travel theme for their wedding. Brilliant idea! Their initials are even AA! They cleverly designed their wedding invitations to look like passports and boarding passes, had paper airplanes available for guests to fly during the recessional and used luggage tags for their seating charts. These were just a few of their personal touches. As you look through the images throughout the blog you will see many more!

I think my favorite part of this brilliant theme was Allan’s choice to have a portrait session with his groomsmen at an airport! He found a company which owns a few jets and allowed us onto the airport. Not only was this a one-of-a-kind session, but the groomsmen were so engaging and fun! Check out how fun the images were!

Choosing to Have a WestWynd Wedding

Choosing to have a WestWynd Ranch wedding would be a great decision for many engaged couples. Using this venue is basically a “one stop shop” for a wedding. First of all, they have BEAUTIFUL accomodations for numerous family members and friends. Guests can stay on site to sleep, prepare for the wedding day, have a rehersal dinner, host an after wedding brunch, etc. This is all on top of offering a lovely grass ceremony site next to a pond with reeds and tullies, and a reception area inside an original wooden barn!

As a photographer I was so impressed with how they had thought through every aspect of a wedding day. The needs of the bride and groom, along with their loved ones, are completely met at this venue. I especially loved the bridal suite! With its white walls and huge mirror, this is the perfect spot for the bride and her entourage to prep for the wedding.

This venue would also be perfect for events like family reunions and vacations. They offer multiple buildings with beautiful lodging and spacious rooms for guests to gather communally. They have an outdoor seating area with a firepit and several options for group activities. Not only that, but they have an extensive area with stables and farm animals! I highly recommend checking it out!

The Images

This was such a clever use of the bride and groom’s travel themed wedding!

The getting ready room at WestWynd Ranch is perfectly suited for a bride, her bridesmaids, and her female relatives! With a bed for toasting, ample space, and a HUGE mirror for prepping, what more could she ask for?!

Allan and his groomsmen prepared for their big day in a separate building than the bride and her ladies. They used the Guest House, while Audra used the Ranch House. BOTH are phenomenal accomodations with large, spacious communal rooms and sleeping rooms as well. The owners of the ranch have also beautifully decorated them!

This First Look was very emotional and touching!

Allan’s mother surprised the couple with a beautifully performed song!

Going along with their travel theme, guests were encouraged to through paper airplanes at the couple as they recessed down the aisle! Brilliant!

Guests found their seats by finding their personalized luggage tags!

Allan and Audra provided a sketch artist to design pictures of each guest!

We always take a portrait with the bride and groom at each wedding. Every couple is precious!
