Sammy & Raquel – Balboa Park Engagement Session

Sammy holds a special place in our family’s hearts because he has been a kind, faithful, generous friend to our youngest daughter Katelyn for many years. High school and college can be a challenging time for everyone, but Sammy helped Katelyn feel loved and appreciated and we are so grateful for him and how he has been so thoughful to our child. So, when he got engaged this year, we were thrilled for him and excited to meet the woman who captured his heart, convinced she must be an absolute treasure if she wa the one our beloved Sammy chose. We had never met Raquel before but we knew that if Sammy loved her, then so would we! On a beautiful day at Balboa Park (and a VERY crowded one I may add), we were blessed to be able to spend the afternoon with Raquel and we were not disappointed! She was everything we could have ever wished for in a companion for Sammy and MORE!

These two are just so sweet together and they compliment each other well! As I mentioned, we already knew and loved Sammy, but after spending the afternoon with Raquel, we were quite convinced she was going to be the perfect addition to the already amazing Silipo clan. This family is greatly beloved by our church here in San Diego and we are all so grateful for their leadership, wisdom, and love for our congregation. Raquel is not just gaining a phenomenal husband, but she is also becoming a part of a family where she is going to feel completely loved and appreicated. In return, the Silipos are gaining a daughter and a sister who brings so much maturity, gentleness, and kindness. What a wonderful situation!

Not only are Zack and I thrilled that we got to be a part of this incredibly special season in Sammy and Raquel’s lives, but we have been doubly blessed because we have been given the opportunity to shoot this wedding deep in the heart of Mexico! Much of Raquel’s family lives just outside of Mexico City and so we’ll be flying down there in a couple of weeks and we couldn’t be more excited! Not only will we not miss this wonderful occasion, filled with amazing people, but we also get to see a beautiful city and experience a new culture. What an adventure! Thank you so much Sammy and Raquel for choosing us to be by your side on your special day. We can’t wait for your big day!
