Isaac & Olivia – Sweetwater River Bridge Engagement Session

There is adorable and then there is ADORABLE! These two definitely fit into the second category. Olivia especially is just so full of life and tons of giggles. It was so much fun getting to spend time with them at the Sweetwater River Bridge in this beautifully glowy light! This is one of my favorite spots to shoot because there is so much variety (check out other sessions at this location). However, no matter how many times I come here to shoot, I have such a wonderful time because of the amazing people who step in front of my lens. Isaac and Olivia were no exception! They were such a joy! I think engagement shoots are some of my absolutely favor types of shoots because couples are so excited and sweet to each other. These two took “sweet” to another level! They were so snuggly and giggly and I think I smiled and giggled along with then for the entire session.

Isaac and Olivia are not just madly in love, they are the best of friends as well. They’re off to a good start! Zack and I were the close friends for four and a half years before we were married and I think it has made all of the difference in creating our amazing marriage. It was so wonderful how they were quick to laugh together and how they were so aware of one another. Truly heartwarming. I am sure this has come from the many hours they have spent getting to know each other and in sharing their hearts and minds. Not only that, but they love to have a lot of fun together. They especially love to EAT! Olivia is just so tiny that you would never guess she’s a foodie. Together they indulge in sushi, ramen, Hawaiian/Guamanian, Thai, and Japanese food to name just a few. Isaac says he’ll eat just about anything!

They met at Loma Verde Recreation and Aquatic Center in 2019. They were both on separate sides of the facility but often saw each other in passing when Isaac came to the recreation side to print things out for the pool. It wasn’t until the summer of 2019, when Olivia was working a rental that Issac came over to drop off a “floor is wet” sign that he left out on his side of the facility. Issac, with the intention of only dropping off the sign ended up staying the whole six-hour rental. That is when their relationship began to flourish. Years have gone by and Isaac has now become a CNA and an EMT and Olivia is just about to graduate with her Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development from Point Loma Nazarene University. So impressive!

What I really enjoy is to ask couples what they love most about each other. This is always inspiring and it gets me so excited about their wedding day. When I asked Isaac this question, he responded, “I love the way that Olivia has such a kind heart for others. She reminds me of God’s unconditional love and I love that about her. She’s always so excited to see me and call me after my long twelve hours at work. I love how she’s always working hard to achieve her goals. I love how Olivia understands me and gets me in a way like no one else can. She always wants to spend time with me and knows my love languages. I love the fact that she wants to still get to know me ever after knowing me all this time. She’s always willing to ask questions and wants to do things I enjoy, mostly because I know she knows that I would love to see her there with me.”

Olivia was not to be outdone by her fiance in her expressions of love and she commented, “There are many things I love about Issac I could honestly write a whole book about him. I love how he never fails to continuously remind me how much he loves me by getting /making me food, and coffee, giving me cuddles and listening to me on how my day was. I love how Issac makes it his priority to follow and embody Jesus in everything he does and always puts Him first.”

What more can I say? Love is beautiful and so are these two souls.
