Groomsmen Jet Portrait Session

For this Groomsmen Jet Portrait Session at Gillespie Field in San Diego, the guys traded their usual pilot gear for sharp suits and brought plenty of personality along with them. As the first light of the morning spilled across the airfield, we started capturing portraits surrounded by airplanes, hangars, and that unmistakable feeling of adventure. There’s something pretty special about starting a wedding weekend with a specialty photo session. It is even more special when the groom arrives with a group of groomsmen who happen to share a love of flying. All but one of these men are pilots! So impressive!

The best part of the session was how much fun these guys had together. Between the polished portraits, there was plenty of laughter, joking, and genuine camaraderie. You could tell these friendships ran deep. Having so many pilots in the group made Gillespie Field the perfect backdrop for the groom and his closest friends. The combination of tailored suits, aircraft, and beautiful morning light created portraits that felt both timeless and completely personal.
