Behl Wedding – Flinn Springs County Park

Oftentimes, the unexpected happens at weddings. Sometimes it happens several times!  With COVID-19, so many weddings have been impacted over the last year and a half and Kaelyn and Erik’s wedding was no acception.  They had to change their date once and then the hair and makeup artist cancelled on them the morning of the wedding because she was exposed to the virus.  Wow!  However, this is when you learn the true nature of someone’s character!  Erik and Kaelyn met those challenges head on and showed true devotion to one another, their family, and to their faith as well.  Not once did I hear them complain, or wish for anything other than what they were given.  They were so gracious, joyful, thoughtful, patient, and encouraging that Zack and I were beyond thrilled to work alongside of them.

Not only did this lovely bride and groom have amazing attitudes and resilience through this process, but their families were an absolute pleasure to get to know.  Kaelyn’s mother, Hazel and her aunt, Lourdes were the heart and soul of this wedding.  They worked tirelessly to make sure Erik and Kaelyn’s dreams of a beautiful wedding came true.  We were astounded by the attention to detail everywhere we turned!  The ceremony at Flinn Springs County Park and the reception at Lourdes’ home were such a reflection of how much this couple is loved by their family and their friends.

At the reception this was even more obvious as we met more and more of the guests and watched Erik and Kaelyn’s interactions with them.  Erik, especially was so thrilled with having all of his favorite people in one place.  He kept asking me to make sure that I captured images of each guest because he kept reiterating how much he loved each and every person who was there.  This feeling of devotion was even more obvious when the night was winding down because it became difficult for them to get away from the reception and to get to their honeymoon because no one wanted the night to end!  Truly a lovely day filled with lovely people!  Erik and Kaelyn, thank you so much for letting us be a part of your special day, we had an amazing time!
